WHAT TO BRING
If you have your own bike and helmet, you are more than welcome to use these, but please ensure your bike is roadworthy. The rides will take place outdoors in most weather conditions (except snow and ice), therefore please wear clothes suitable for cycling. Helmets and high viz vests are also available to borrow for free. Please bring a filled water bottle and snacks to keep you going.
By taking part, you must have the ability to ride a bike, cycle for a short distance and have the ability to operate the bike brakes independently using both hands (if riding independently on a conventional two-wheeled bike). Please let Everybody’s Cycling know if you require an adapted cycle or any other support; we’re here to help.
Those with balance difficulties, or any other problems riding can borrow (again free of charge) one of our adapted cycles such as a trike, tandem, wheelchair transporter, side-by-side companion cycle or handcycle.
If you’re unsure which cycle suits your needs, please get in touch with Everybody’s Cycling to arrange an appointment to try some adapted cycles in advance of the rides from our base in York. If you would like to a volunteer companion rider, tandem pilot or any other support, please let us know.
Pre-booking is essential for the rides and spaces are limited to up to 10 people per ride.
Book your place and a bike (if you need to borrow one) through EventBrite. Bookings close at 12:00 noon the day before each event date. Bikes cannot be booked on the day and must be booked in advance.
