Pedal for your Medal in May

What – Your own personal cycling challenge
Where – Your local neighbourhood or further afield – the choice is yours!
When – During May (or just May half term)

With half term coming up it is the perfect time to get your family involved – how far will you cycle throughout the whole of May or just pick half term and get out on your bikes everyday with the kids/grandchildren. Set a distance that is a personal challenge for you and then get pedalling and fundraising. Whether you cycle a mile or a hundred miles, the challenge is yours to choose!

Once you have registered, we will send you a pack so you have everything that you need to get started with setting up a fundraising page and really making a difference whilst clocking up the miles.

Everyone that takes part will receive a certificate and if you raise £100 or more you will also receive a medal – perfect for back to school assembly show and tell or just to wear with pride to show you have made a difference.

How

  1. Register to take part
  2. Decide on your challenge distance (whatever will be a personal challenge for you)
  3. Raise money – if you raise £100 or more you'll receive a medal everyone gets a certificate
  4. Wear your medal with pride (and send us some photos!)

Why

One of the greatest liberty losses of the past century has been children’s freedom to move around their neighbourhoods. According to a study we recently commissioned, there has been a 97% reduction in the distance children move and explore from six miles to just 300 yards.

By taking part in Pedal for your Medal and fundraising, you're helping us work to make cycling not just safe but enjoyable. You're helping to give children back the freedom that's so important for them and their community.
