Ride to Puttenham Barn Bunkhouse in Surrey to celebrate local independent hostels
Event description
On Saturday 14 September, Brighton and Hove Cycling UK is heading to Hampshire to lead a 30-mile on-road ride to Surrey to celebrate local independent hostels.
The ride begins in Hampshire on the South Downs at the Sustainability Centre's Eco Lodge. Here is a map of the site. The Sustainability Centre is 7 miles from Petersfield Station. We are meeting at 10.00am and departing at 10.45.
This will be a ride at a leisurely pace, taking approximately 6-7 hours and stopping for lunch at Selbourne.
The ride will end at the historic Puttenham Barn Bunkhouse in the Surrey Hills. Puttenham Camping Barn is 2 miles from Wanborough Station and 5 miles from Guildford Station. There may be the option to stay overnight at the Barn.

If you come on any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube (or as appropriate for tubeless tyres), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, snacks and enough to drink, sunscreen/waterproofs/warm clothing as appropriate. Please follow Cycling UK guidance, and check with the ride leader about the distance and hilliness of the ride if you are unsure. Please be prepared to give contact phone numbers at the start of the ride.
