Ride to Litlington and Firle via the Old Coach Road in East Sussex

On Sunday 31st July, we'll be leaving at 9 am from the Palace Pier in Brighton. 

This will be a mixed on and off-road ride to Litlington and Firle via "the Old Coach Road".

At approximately 10.30 we'll depart from Seaford Yacht Club where they serve good coffee, cakes and breakfasts in their Galley Cafe Club House, Marine Parade, Seaford BN25 2QR. This is near Bishopstone train station, but if you are planning to get a train, please check if they are running following the strike action on Saturday.

There will be a picnic or snack stop in Lewes from 1- 1:30 

Terrain: Mostly following National Cycle Network, NCN 2, along the coast to Seven Sisters Country Park. The Old Coach Road is gravelly/dusty in places with fabulous views and easy gradients. Tarmac from Firle to Lewes. There are a choice of routes from Lewes.

If you plan to come on any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube (or as approporitate for tubeless tyres), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, snacks and enough to drink, sunscreen/waterproofs/warm clothing as appropriate. Please follow Cycling UK's Covid guidance, and check with the ride leader about the distance and hilliness of the ride if you are unsure. Be prepared to give a contact phone number at the start of a ride.
