Doreen Lindsey
Doreen has been cycling for an incredible 65 years, and at present rides with Chester and North Wales CTC. She has worked tirelessly to promote CTC Eryri’s Thursday rides in particular, which often cover quite harsh terrain for cyclists. She also travels far and wide to promote Cycling UK, and her club and its events and activities. In 2014, Doreen won Cycling UK’s Wales Volunteer of the Year award in recognition of this fantastic work.
Doreen says her favourite part of riding is seeing other women enjoying cycling as much as her, and despite being in her eighties now, there’s no sign of her slowing down. Her next big event is taking on Chester and North Wales CTC’s Bert Bailey Memorial Veterans’ 100-Mile Ride at the start of July. Good luck Doreen!
