We want to show the government that cycling is part of the solution to many of the economic and health issues facing the UK – we can only do that with your help

On 30 October Chancellor Rachel Reeves delivered her Autumn Budget – the first from a Labour government in 15 years. We welcome the £100m increase in funding for cycling and walking. While it wasn’t everything we might have hoped for, it’s a step in the right direction.

We want to continue putting pressure on the government to commit to improving conditions for active travel, providing better travel choices for everyone.

While there’s more funding for cycling in England, it’s still below the level needed. Now is the time to prove that making space for cycling is the solution we urgently need, to tackle the cost-of-living crisis and improve our health. We can only do that with your support.

  • £10 could support local campaigners and grow the Cycle Advocacy Network
  • £25 could help commission research to make the case for more cycle lanes and safer roads
  • £50 could help create videos and reports to demonstrate the changes we need to see
