Martine McCutcheon launches CTC’s Big Bike Revival
With the help of local schoolchildren, she officially introduced The Big Bike Revival – a two-week series of family-friendly events across England – at a taster session in Manchester’s Platt Fields Park.
The campaign, organised by CTC, the national cycling charity and taking place 23 May - 7 June, will give members of the public the chance to get their bikes fixed for free and learn how to maintain them for themselves.
Martine (38), took the opportunity to practice some repairs, discovering how easy it is to bring even a long-forgotten bike back to life with The Big Bike Revival.
The Big Bike Revival is the perfect opportunity to dig your bike out of the garage, stop it gathering dust and get it ready to use this summer.”

Martine said: “I think we all remember how much fun we had on our bikes when we were younger, but I’m sure lots of people will have bikes they’ve not touched for a while.
