Event description

The Jo Cox Way is a five-day, 280-mile bike ride in memory of Jo Cox MP, returning for its 6th year to celebrate Jo’s life, her beliefs and all the good work that goes on in communities up and down the UK.

Over seventy cyclists will be setting off on Wednesday 27 July in West Yorkshire and riding to London, finishing at the Flat Iron Square, London on Sunday 31 July

Please come and jump on a bike and pedal alongside us for part of the route and show your support by cheering the cyclists on their way.

The route has been broken into manageable day sections, join in the fun and celebrate group cycling.

Riders will assemble in front of Brunel University Business School and after our traditional photo head south picking up the cycle path towards West Dratron and Heathrow. Our route then turns eastward and we navigate through Hounslow, we pass the home of English rugby and cross the Thames at Richmond bridge. Our first ‘climb’ at Richmond hill is a blip after the monster gradients that we have been enjoying on earlier days. We enter Richmond Park at Richmond Gate and then head west into Roehampton. Our route takes us south of East Putney, through Battersea and we cross the Thames again at Chelsea bridge. The route then passes west of Victoria, in front of Buckingham palace and around St James’s Park. Our final crossing of the Thames is at Westminster Bridge and we head north of Lambeth towards Southwark and our finish party at Flat Iron Square.

Day riders will need to make their own arrangements to get home.
