About us
The Tribe MBC are a Cycling UK affiliated group.
We are an informal club of some 50 plus members based in the North West of England who enjoy riding mountain bikes and want to ride with like minded people. Our routes and style is trail orientated, we are not cross country racers nor are we downhillers. Our typical bikes range from 120mm hardtails through to 160mm full suspension. We have both male and female members but regrettably in the interests of following Child safety legislation our membership is not open to under 18's.
We organise rides on Sundays throughout the year along with weekends away and the occasional foreign holiday. Our Sunday rides take place in Lancashire, The Lake District, Peak District, Yorkshire and North Wales and we have members based in all of these areas.
The club itself started in 1994 so through the experience of the members we have gained a lot of knowledge about bikes, bike handling and routes. The core of our membership is Lancashire based and we try to have a monthly ride in the region, such as around the Rivington/Darwen area.
