Bike West Midlands Network

Bike West Midlands Network are a Cycling UK affiliate group. We bring together cycle campaigners from across the West Midlands to consult with the West Midlands Combined Authority about all matters related to cycling - infrastructure development, promoting cycling, the cycle industry, the tourist economy, planning for new housing and industrial/commecrial sites etc. We have a mailing list of over 100 individuals and a steering group made up of representatives of Wolves on Wheels, Sandwell Cycling, Push Bikes Birmingham Cycle Campaign, Solihull Cycle Campaign, Coventry Cycling Campaign. Recently we met with all of the Mayoral Candidates and they addressed out Big Bike Picnic and all committed to promoting the implementing the West Midlands Cycling Charter and a spend of £10 per head per annum on cycling. We will now be consulting with the new Mayor Andy Street and the officers at Transport for West Midlands to ensure that his excellent promises on cycling are delivered.
