The Sulley Rides Sunday 16th March 2025
Leicestershire and Rutland Cyclists' Touring Club presents the 34th running of the Sulley Rides. 30/50/70/100 km distances.
This event is held in the memory of David and Doreen Sulley, CTC / Cycling UK members and the originators of the event. The annual Sulley Rides are traditional ‘reliability rides’ where participants aim to complete their chosen distance within the time limit. The rides are not a ‘sportive’ or a race. The challenge is for riders to be self-supported and self-reliant and to navigate the route using the route sheets provided at the start and their own print or digital maps (gpx files available for download on the Routes page). There is a choice of four routes to suit all riders; an easy and mostly flat 30 km route, scenic 50 km and 70 km routes, and a more challenging 100 km route. The routes mostly follow quiet lanes and roads through lovely countryside. The rides are open to all and are a perfect way to start the spring after a long winter! The rides are organised by Leicestershire & Rutland CTC, a Cycling UK group. The start and finish are at Lutterworth Town Hall, High Street, Lutterworth LE17 4AT, where refreshments will be provided all day. Click here for map. Toilets are available at the Hall. There is free parking on Sundays just off Station Road very close to the Town Hall but please DO NOT USE MORRISONS' CAR PARK.
The Control will be open for entries from 09.00 until 11.00. Your ride must be completed by 16.30 when the Control will close.
You can enter the event at the start.
Entry fees: £5 for adults and £1 for under 18s (riders under 18 years require parental consent).
Entry forms will be available at the start, or you can complete an entry form in advance to save time on the day. We suggest you use a downloaded file rather than completing in your web browser. Under 18s will require a parental consent form. You can bring the entry form with you to the start.
All controls will close at 16.30.
