BSA MERIT CUP

Awarded to the person(s) who(m) in the eyes of the Member Group committee has (have) contributed significantly to the running of the Member Group and its activities in the past year.
This year, presented to Ian Enright.
For those that don’t know, STEPS (Meet, Move, Mend, Repeat) is a Development Plus project based in Lincoln which includes a Community Cycle Group, affiliated with Cycling UK. Ian Enright has been involved in the project since 2000 which uses coaching and mentoring to offer practical and emotional support to those in need and dealing with a variety of issues. With this in mind, Ian who is a keen cyclist himself, has developed an optional cycling element to the STEPS project, with help and training from Cycling UK, so that participants can get out into the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and enjoying each other’s company, whilst developing cycling skills and confidence.
Some group members rely on their bike as their sole form of transport and Ian has been able to help out source bikes, funding repairs and providing such items as locks, lights and reflective gear. Ian has also said that STEPS can also fund free coffee and cake at the all-important refreshment stops on their rides. We wish Ian all the very best in his endeavours and in recognition of this important work we’d like to present Ian with the BSA Merit Cup.

PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
Trevor Halstead (Gainsborough) was awarded the Photography Trophy for his entry: Water Rail Way. For full details of Barry Jordan's comments and Judgement on the Photography Competition click link:

Iryna from Ukraine, although not a member also shared some of her photographs taken on cycle rides in Lincolnshire ...
"In a world where material things increasingly overshadow true beauty, the soul quietly longs for harmony. Beauty is not only about appearances but also about the inner feeling of light and peace. It needs to be felt, discovered in simple moments, and gently nourished by the heart. Through the photos I present to you, I’ve tried to capture the excitement and joy of the place where I live (Lincoln, Lincolnshire) the kind of beauty that you want to see and feel every day".
