Aims and Objectives

At the CTC East Midlands Region Committee Meeting held on Saturday 25th September 2021, a unanimous vote was taken to adopt the following Aims and Objectives: 

Cycling UK East Midlands Region's focus is on getting more people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities cycling in the counties of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Rutland.

In order to achieve this, it should liaise and co-operate with

  • member and affiliated groups of Cycling UK
  • other groups promoting cycling in all its aspects
  • advocates of active travel
  • groups focused on improving the environment

As part of this, it should promote membership of Cycling UK and its groups and facilitate events including rallies, organised rides and fundraising events for charity such as:

  • The Beaumanor Cycle Rally.
  • Cycling UK East Midlands Region Forests 200 km Audax.
  • Mince Pie Run at Belton
