About us
Chelmsford Indians Cycling Club is a social cycling group affiliated with Cycling UK.
We organise rides weekly throughout the year. Aimed to support the local community to cycle, helping them build confidence, use the bike for shorter journeys and to encourage a healthier & happier lifestyle. Our social-leisure rides take place on Saturday mornings on planned routes in and around Chelmsford. We try to accommodate people with different abilities, needs and aim for cycling-friendly roads.
We are a budding group started by a few fellow riders in 2019. We have encouraged people with different abilities, beginners, children and women to take part in our rides. We have grown from strength to strength in a year to 20+, and we are still growing.
Our group offers rides for all types of recreational riders predominantly on the roads and occasionally along the local by-ways and bridleways. We cater for beginners, families and experienced riders – in fact, anyone who enjoys a bit of fresh air and exercise on two wheels. We aim to operate a regular programme of rides and social events that are open to all members.
We have a Starter Guide and some advise about what you need to get going, please check out the link. Also, join our Facebook and Strava pages to get updates on rides we organise and see other members ride.
