Social tandem rides for visually impaired people with sighted pilots on the first Saturday and third Sunday of every month from Saughton Park, Edinburgh.  Also on various Wednesday evenings during the summer.  For all abilities and experience aged 18 and over, cafe stop included.  Riding at a social pace.  Training, helmets, e-tandems and tandems provided. Participation is free.  Long (c30 miles, back mid-afternoon) and short (c15 miles, back lunchtime) rides.  Contact [email protected] for information and to start your tandem journey.

Our container is in the west car park (entry from Ford's Road, the extension of Stenhouse Avenue, not Ford's Road directly off Gorgie Road which is a dead end) beside the walled garden. Bus stops: Saughton Park stop on Gorgie Road heading into Edinburgh - numbers 3, 25, 30, 33; and heading out of Edinburgh, numbers 3, 25, 30, 33, 38. And Saughton Rose Gardens stop on Balgreen Road heading north, numbers 30, 38, X27, X28; and heading south, numbers 30, 38, X27, X28. And Whitson Crescent stop on Stevenson Drive heading into Edinburgh, numbers 1, 2, 22, 38; and heading out of Edinburgh numbers 1, 2, 22, 22A. From Haymarket Station, walk round to Dalry Road and take the 2, 3, 25 or 33 heading south out of Edinburgh, or take a tram heading west to the Balgreen tram stop, which is a short walk to the north of the park.
