Off-road Starter Ride

Our objective is to help riders improve their safety and enjoyment when riding on loose or unpaved surfaces.

This is not just for off-road riders or mountain bikers; the session should be helpful for anyone that rides on poorly maintained lanes or cycle paths, or on bridleways or towpaths.

Half-an hour briefing, then a 7 mile ride (with guidance) along local cycle paths, streets, byways, farm tracks, bridleways and quiet lanes. Nothing too technical or challenging.

The route includes tarmac, gravel and hard packed surfaces, and is suitable for hybrids, touring bikes, gravel bikes and mountain bikes.

Further Off-road Starter Rides will be organised, if this proves popular.
