Ride to the Onslow Arms, Loxwood by the Wey and Arun Canal
Event description
On Sunday 11th August we are meeting by the car park on Steyning High Street, ready to leave at 10.45, aiming for lunch at the Onslow Arms, a lovely pub next to the Wey and Arun Canal. This is almost into Surrey, so hopefully some lovely views and summer scenes. The pub will be busy so bring a picnic lunch to eat nearby (unless you have booked). Some people are taking a picnic. Generally a flattish ride, about 45 miles round trip from Steyning, with some mixed terrain but mainly on road.
Address of the pub: The Onslow Arms, High Street, Loxwood, Billingshurst RH14 0RD
If you plan to come on any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube (or as appropriate for tubeless tyres), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, snacks and enough to drink, sunscreen/waterproofs/warm clothing as appropriate. Please follow Cycling UK guidance, and check with the ride leader about the distance and hilliness of the ride if you are unsure. See link below.
