Ride to Fairwarp in East Sussex
Event description
On Sunday 29 August, we'll be leaving at 10.15 from the Trading Post Coffee Roasters café in Lewes, so get there early if you would like to have a coffee first!
We'll be riding to Fairwarp in East Sussex. It's looking like the the Foresters Arms is using the pub garden for an event, so we recommend that you bring a picnic lunch and we can sit on the green opposite the pub.
Please contact Peter via the link below if you would like to join us on this ride.
The ride distance will be about 40-45 miles on mainly quiet lanes. It will be a bit hilly in the middle with a couple of short sections of green lanes from Landport and through Vert Wood. Busier diversions are available to anyone preferring traffic over trees and the odd bump! Rideable on all bikes.
If you plan to come on any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube (unless using tubeless tyres), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, something to eat and drink, sunscreen and/or waterproofs as appropriate. Please follow Cycling UK's Covid guidance, and check with the ride leader about the distance and hilliness of the ride if you are unsure. Be prepared to give a contact phone number at the start of a ride.
