Fred Whitton Tour
Event description
This ride will follow the route of the Fred Whitton Challenge Ride, which is 112 mile around the Lake District, now a World Heritage Site. Starting at Grasmere and taking in climbs of Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott, Wrynose and Blea Tarn passes. Link to Fred Whitton Challenge

Itinerary for the Cycling UK Stevenage Ride
Monday 15th May by train from Stevenage to Windermere . Ride to Keswick YHA about 18 miles
Tuesday 16th May ride to Braithwalte (4miles) to start of route . Ride to Ambleside YHA 63 miles total 67 miles
Wednesday 17th May Ambleside to Braithwalte 51 miles , then back to Keswick YHA 4 miles total 55 miles
Thursday 18th May ride back to Windermere 18 miles & train back to Stevenage
