Fleet Flyer Sportive, Family and Charity Cycle Rides
Event description
Due to COVID-19 this event sadly has now been cancelled. If you have registered for it, you will be receiving an email shortly with more information. Thank you for your support and hope to see you next year.
Fleet Cycling, Pedal Heaven and Everyone Active will be holding the 3rd annual Fleet Flyer Charity Cycle Rides, to raise money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care and the Royal Free Hospital. This year's event is being run in memory of Graham Ellicott. Graham was our Event Director and sadly passed away in the summer of 2019.
Our charities have been chosen as their causes have directly affected the lives of some Fleet Cycling members:
Phyllis Tuckwell is the only Hospice Care service for adult patients, and their families, living with cancer or another terminal illness (such as heart, lung or neurological disease) across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire.
The Royal Free began as a pioneering organisation and continues to play a leading role in the care for cancer patients and transplant surgery. It is the hospital which provided a liver transplant for Graham, the Fleet Flyer founder, and cared for him throughout his illness.
There will be three gloriously scenic routes through Hampshire to chose from: a family friendly 20 mile route, and more challenging 100 km and 100 mile routes. All will be signposted and have feedstations. The 100 mile route will also require a GPS device.
