Community Networking Event - Dumfries & Galloway
Event description
Cycling UK are hosting a FREE Networking Event in Dalbeattie in conjunction with Cycling Dumfries, as part of a series of events being held across Scotland for community cycling groups.
We're delighted that Lee Craigie, Scotland's new Active Nation Commissioner, will be attending. We'll also be hearing from Dumfries and Galloway Council about progress with the Active Travel Strategy.
Free tickets are available here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cycling-uk-community-networking-event-20….
We'll also be rolling our sleeves up and looking at existing and potential cycle routes through this beautiful part of the world. You may have heard of the South West Coastal 300 - a tourism route marketed largely at drivers and motorbikes. Can we come up with a better route that will showcase some of the best rural cycling in the UK? Bring your ideas!
This event is for anyone interested in local grassroots cycling projects, community cycling opportunities, organisations that hosted Big Bike Revival events, national cycling organisations, Cycling UK affiliated groups and Member groups.
Attendees can also expect:
- A warm welcome with refreshments.
- Interactive sessions to help support your groups and ideas
- What’s coming up in the Cycling UK calendar and beyond
- Lots of opportunities to network and share knowledge.
Event tickets are limited and issued on a first come, first served basis.
We look forward to seeing you there. Please feel free to bring along any flyers or promotional materials that best show the activities and programmes your group provides.
