CANCELLED: Shorter, leisurely evening ride via Stanmer Park, Woodingdean, Rottingdean and back to Brighton
Event description
CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST
LAST EVENING RIDE OF THE SEASON!
On Wednesday 25th September, we’re meeting at the earlier start time of 6.30 pm outside the Co-op at Fiveways, Brighton for a largely traffic free (but mainly tarmac surface) ride up Ditchling Road, down through Stanmer Park, up to Woodingdean, down the new cycle path to Rottingdean, and then back to Brighton on the Undercliff path, at a leisurely (i.e. quite slow!) pace.
Depending on temperatures, there'll be a stop for a drink at a pub either on the Seafront or in town.
Please bring lights! If the weather is poor, please check with the ride leader that the ride is going ahead. The phone number is on this page.
If you plan to come on any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube (or as appropriate for tubeless tyres), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, snacks and enough to drink, sunscreen/waterproofs/warm clothing as appropriate. Please follow Cycling UK guidance, and check with the ride leader about the distance and hilliness of the ride if you are unsure. Please be prepared to give contact numbers at the start of a ride.
