Belfast Cycle Campaigners Social - How can we use bike buses as a campaign tool?
Event description
Members of the North Belfast Cycle Campaign group ran two separate bike buses during bike to school week in October. They were a great success; engaging pupils, parents and even the PSNI.
They'll share what was involved in organising the buses, what went well on the day and what they can improve for next time.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A and group discussion on how we can coordinate more of these throughout Belfast, and ultimately what we want them to lead to - safer cycling legislation and infrastructure for everyone.
We also intend to have a brief on the York Street Interchange Placemaking and Active Travel review to include in our group discussion.
This is the first of these type of meetings/groups and we would really welcome you to come along, especially if you've thought about getting involved with cycle campaigning for a while but haven't taken the next step. Everyone has something to offer and contribute.
*there will be food (pizza) and drinks (soft) at the event with vegan and vegetarian options, we will send an email closer to the event to request dietary requirements*
