Campaigner for better, more inclusive cycling infrastructure
Kate has over 35 years’ cycling experience, having cycled as a child, an able-bodied adult and a person with mobility impairments. A member of two cycling clubs (Derby Cycling Club and Spoke Out) she campaigns for infrastructure changes to enable more people to cycle safely in Derby. She uses an e-tandem for the school run and to cycle to her kids’ activities.
“I’ve been made painfully aware – quite literally – of just how many barriers there are stopping most people from using cycling for ordinary journeys. I want to keep working to try to improve everyday cycling for all.”
