Jo Morgan
Community cycling advocate from Devon
Jo Morgan has been nominated as a community champion for her dedication to creating opportunities for young people in her rural community. During the lockdown, Jo recognised the need for safe, fun spaces for children and spearheaded efforts to build a pump track in Bow, Devon. Despite not being a cyclist herself, Jo led fundraising, secured grants and rallied community support, raising £60,000 to bring the project to life. Thanks to her tireless efforts, the village now boasts a free-to-use pump track, inspiring a new generation to get active on their bikes.
“Following a year of grant applications and fundraising activities we finally opened the pump track last year. Bow, a small village in rural mid Devon, now has a free-to-use pump track to be proud of.”
