Elizabeth (Lizzie) Jordan
Paralympic champion & WB 1km time trial gold medallist
Fully sighted until the age of 19, Lizzi’s life changed dramatically in 2017 when a rare E. Coli infection left her in an eight-week coma, resulting in multi-organ failure and permanent blindness. After relearning how to walk, Lizzi found solace in sport, beginning with running in 2018 and completing the London Marathon in 2019. In 2020, British Cycling recognised her potential, and she transitioned into a tandem cycling stoker role.
Since then, Lizzi’s career has soared. In 2024, alongside pilot Danni Khan, she claimed triple gold at the Para-Cycling Track World Championships in Rio, despite challenges leading up to the event. Later that year, she became Paralympic Champion in the WB 1km Time Trial at the Paris Games.
