Brigitte was nominated for her remarkable work as the founder of the Windrush Bike Project. Inspired to take up cycling later in life to spend more time with her husband, she turned her newfound passion into a mission to make cycling accessible for all. From establishing a Bikeability Scheme and opening a workshop to running inclusive Wheels for All sessions at a local school, Brigitte’s work, alongside a team of 20+ volunteers, has brought joy and opportunities to countless individuals in the West Oxfordshire area, providing training to the local communities.
