When Anne moved to the Havant area, she discovered local cycling levels were low, so she ran Dr Bike sessions between lockdowns, followed by setting up the Solent Cycle Project in 2021. It offers drop-in cycle maintenance sessions and guided rides to encourage everyday cycling, and sessions to teach quiet routes.

“I recently gained my Level 2 Bikeability Instructor qualification and train adults, helping them to find the confidence to cycle more. It is so rewarding to hear their positive feedback – and be part of a movement to get more people in Havant back in the saddle and on the road.”
