Val French

Val is a Breeze Champion, leading the Barmby Moor Pink Ladies, and is also the Breeze area co-ordinator for East and North Yorkshire. Since 2011 she has led more than 400 rides, got groups of women together to take on sportives, and even cycled overseas, as far away Vietnam and Cambodia, raising money for children’s charities.

For Val, the best part is: “Getting more women back into cycling and getting them to love it as much as I do.”

Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling is an annual list celebrating inspirational women who are encouraging others to take part in this wonderful and life-enhancing activity.
