Sian Emmison
Sian Emmison and her husband Tom Morris met in Amsterdam and were inspired by the beautiful Dutch bicycles that filled the streets. They returned to London and discovered that the couldn't buy similar bikes in the UK, so in 2007 they started Bobbin Bikes.
About 80% of Bobbin Bicycle's customers are female, which is quite different to the rest of the cycling industry market and Sian strives to design and sell beautiful bikes for everyday cycling, not for 'cyclists'.
The unique brand is known for it’s brightly-coloured, affordable and fashionable bikes and accessories like baskets, bells, panniers and handlebar bags.
Sian has guided the business from it's fledgling days when you had to book an appointment to buy a bike from a tiny studio in London. Now over a decade later, sales of adult and children's bikes are online and through local bike shops across the UK.
