Orla Chennaoui
Orla Chennaoui is a immediately recognisable face and voice to followers of professional cycling, with a clear passion to promote women's cycling in particular.
As a multilingual TV sports presenter, host and journalist with over 18 years of experience working in both news and sport she's currently cycling presenter at Eurosport UK. Having presented on location from nine Tours de France, two Giros d'Italia, two Olympic Games and one Commonwealth Games her career includes lengthy spells working on Sky Sports News and the Sky Sports rugby and cycling coverage.
She is also the co-host of a monthly cycling podcast, The Cycling Podcast Feminin, a monthly show dedicated to women's cycling.
In 2018 Orla launched her own podcast "When Orla Met..." a conversation with people from the world of sport focussing on the stories behind the person, in the frailties of those who push themselves to the limit of their ability. It's a discussion on tackling personal demons and finding inspiration in the pursuit of excellence and a chance to get to know some of the biggest names in sport, going behind the headlines and media profile to learn a little more of the motivation, fears and discipline that drives the ordinary to become extraordinary and to the very top of their game.
As one of the highest profile women in the cycling media, Orla is being recognised for her role in promoting cycling, particularly women's cycling, and her enthusiasm and talent for encouraging more women to take up riding a bike.
