Louise Henderson is part of Cycling UK's 100 Women in Cycling 2018 list for always managing to find the time to get out cycling – and helping and inspiring others to do the same.

Louise works for the inclusive cycling charity Cycling Projects with the project Pedal Away. She helps to teach people who have not ridden before or are returning to cycling how to ride and how ride to ride with others.

In her free time, Louise gets out with a group of women called Bicycle Belles; together they’ve done the Coast to Coast, London to Paris and the Scottish Coast to Coast. All of Louise’s cycling is impressively squeezed around a busy home life with four children and a full-time job.

Louise says of cycling, “I enjoy the freedom, to switch off from what is going on in everyday life.”

Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling is an annual list celebrating inspirational women who are encouraging others to take part in this wonderful and life-enhancing activity.
