Louis Kerr – runner-up

Volunteer Awards 2018
Louis Kerr outside Biker Buddies, Dumfries
Biker Buddies Bike Barn’s Louis Kerr was shortlisted in in the Outstanding Young Achiever category for Cycling UK’s 2018 Volunteer of the Year Awards

Louis has been a huge asset to the Biker Buddies Bike Barn, and one of their key volunteers – his kindness and joy is evident in all he does.

He uses a wheelchair, but since learning to ride a two-wheeler bike he now assists on cycle events and rides. Louis is currently learning more bike skills, including bike maintenance.

Louis’s dedication to Biker Buddies and willingness to help others get cycling is hugely appreciated, and Cycling UK are proud to celebrate his contribution.

Cycling UK’s Volunteer of the Year Awards are given annually to recognise and celebrate all the incredible work volunteers do in encouraging others to start cycling and keep cycling.
