In January 2010, Liz and Phil went on their first cycle touring date. They went 30km.

Their next ride was a bit longer. Riding the length of the Americas, Liz caught the cycling bug and the experience proved to be the spark that led to her founding VeloVixen, the Home of Women’s Cycling Kit.

Reacting to being include in the 100 Women in Cycling, Liz said:

“As parents of two young daughters, every year we become more aware of what cycling can do for women’s independence, self-worth, physical and mental health.

"By focusing exclusively on female cyclists and providing a great range of cycling clothing, as well as an ever-growing community through our chat groups and social media, we hope we’re adding something positive to an already vibrant sector.”
