Have your say on Scotland’s Transport Strategy
On 31 July, Transport Scotland launched its draft new transport strategy, NTS2. The final strategy, when it comes out at the end of the year, will be a key document for the next 20 years setting the tone and direction for how Scotland transforms its transport system and where it spends the billions in the transport budget. It’s critical that we all have our say on this draft.
At Cycling UK in Scotland, we want to help you to respond, as an individual, Cycling UK member group, cycling club, or other. The more people or groups who respond, the better and even better if the responses are unique and personal.
How to have your say
It’s a big document and the online response form has more than 10 questions to answer. To make it more manageable, we want to provide some suggested answers to follow. Feel free to copy the suggested bullet point answers in the attached document, or put these in your own words. Add any more detail as you see fit – ideas for things to cover are in [italics].
These answers will form the basis of Cycling UK in Scotland’s full response, which we will share as soon as we can in September or October.
Only got a few minutes?
Just use our summary main points (see the attachment) and answer only Question 10 in the online response form.
Alternatively send your thoughts in an email to [email protected] or by post, to NTS Review Team, Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF.
Whichever way you are able to respond, the closing date for your response is 23 October. For more information, contact: [email protected].
