Alison Paterson

Alison has only been cycling regularly for a few years, but in this time she has gone from novice to ride leader, riding 60 miles a week, and is one of the driving forces of the women’s cycling group Cycle East Durham in Peterlee, County Durham. Through Alison’s drive, passion and all round good nature she has welcomed women from all over the region to the group, and helped them get back into cycling.

Alison loves cycling for: “Freedom and keeping fit as well as seeing things you don’t see in a car!”

Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling is an annual list celebrating inspirational women who are encouraging others to take part in this wonderful and life-enhancing activity.
