Cycle stars needed for short film
We are looking for people to come along and act as volunteer flag wavers and cyclists as well.
To register to help, please email me [email protected] or [email protected] with your details ASAP.
Date: Saturday 22 March
Start time: 10am
Location: Mole Business Park, Randalls Road, Leatherhead KT22 7AD (map below)
Duration: 2 hours
What to bring: Yourself, your bike and suitable clothing for whatever the weather throws at us and a smile for the camera!
What it’s all about: For those of you who didn’t help with the test we did this last year, we require a number of cyclists to help illustrate the three different methods required to facilitate crossings for emergency vehicles across the route (as shown below). The films will be shown on our website www.PrudentialRideLondon.co.uk and shared with our route Stakeholders.
Why Leatherhead? We have chosen this location for two reasons, firstly it provides us with a suitable road layout for the ambulance to cross and secondly we figured it would be ideal for those of you who would normally be out training in the Surrey Hills to incorporate into your route on the way out/back.
There will be a raffle drawn for those who attend on the day for the chance to win three guaranteed entries (one entry per winner) to Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 (these are guaranteed entries but you will be required to pay for them, however the event is over subscribed by tens of thousands of places so a top prize non-the-less) and two grandstand tickets to the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on the afternoon of the 10th August on The Mall.
We will provide refreshments on the day to keep you fuelled and hydrated.
