Wednesday Wander to Manning's Cafe, Tetney

Wednesday 1st March 2023 - First day of Meteorological Spring

We completed the task - and in the dry!

There were Alan, John Weeks, Paul and I. It was a stiff ride to Tetney but we got there at 11.00 am and devoured toast, beans, egg and bacon rolls + the coffee, at Manning's. Fortunately the one shower passed over while we were in the cafe.

It was an easy ride back to Louth following the prescribed route; we arrived back at about 1.00 pm. At first we thought the leisure centre had closed early as there was no one in the pool and the shutters were down on the cafe. It turns out that the boiler for the pool has broken down and the one lady serving was packing up due to a lack of trade. She offered to make us a cup of coffee each, which was very much appreciated.

All in all a successful day, we couldn't believe how lucky we were with the weather when we could see showers all around.
