Sussex Clunkers Bicycling Meetup

Get your old bike out for another Sussex Clunkers ride, it's perfect timing to get it working ready for the summer and it's Bike Week!

The plan is to encourage people to get their existing bikes out the shed to blow the cobwebs off. Any bike, any age, any type. Oh, and I've definitely booked the sunshine ready...



Thursday 13th June - 18:30

(a few of us will gather from 18:15 to help with any last minute bike niggles).



Starting at Beach Green, Shoreham By Sea.

Riding along the seafront cycle path past Worthing Pier and back, stopping at The Perch for a slice of pizza on the return leg (lancingperch.com).

There's no charge, no racing, very few roads (this route's a nice seafront path most of the way) and plenty of other friendly cyclists if your old clunker lets you down. With pizza and beverages available at The Perch on the way home, what more could you want?!

My reason for organising this is to help connect those who need a bit of support keeping their bike going with those who find that kind of thing easy, with the aim, ultimately, of more journeys in the area being made by bike, rather than in the car.
