London to Brighton Off-road at Night Event - 21st June 2025
Event description
Back for more fun and dirt in the dark in 2025, on the 21st June - Book before 17th February to get a discounted price.
Female riders: We appreciate this is a male dominated sport, and ladies can feel out numbered, so we have got our amazing staff rider, Keara Camacho, riding the route, who welcomes you to join her for a fun (and probably heavily karaoke themed) pedal through the darkness.
Stats: 95km with 1,225 metres of climbing
Start: 10pm at Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 2JG
Finish: Sunrise at Carats cafe, Hove, BN41 1WD
Terrain: A mix of dirt, gravel, tarmac, roots, sand, stone and grass. Some roots and rough tracks along the way, so best suited to a hardtail MTB, although it is still very doable on a gravel bike.
This is not a race – it’s a social ride and adventure; a bit of fun and challenge to enjoy with like-minded riders. This will be a relatively small and intimate event with rider numbers capped and of course be subject to covid restrictions at the time.
What we provide:
- Free overnight parking at the start
- Signed route
- GPX file and PDF route map
- Support staff riders out on the route
- Support vehicles along the route
- First aid
- Mechanics
- Bag transfer to the end
- 3 checkpoints on the route
- Selection of free hot & cold food & drinks at checkpoints
- Breakfast and hot drink at the end
Shuttle bus back to the start: We will run be running a limited number of mini-bus shuttle runs back to the start for riders and bicycles. This is NOT included in the price of the event ticket. You will need to buy a shuttle bus ticket separately.

What you provide: A fully working and suitable bike, suitable front & rear lights and a back-up light! Warm clothes and enthusiasm.
NOTE: Riders need to be well experienced and comfortable with riding at night. We reserve the right to refuse participation if we deem your bike or lights to be unsuitable for the ride.
LIGHTS: We love the amazing (British) Exposure lights. Not cheap, but amazing design, quality and warranty. Their online Outlet store can provide some bargains too. If you require bang-for-buck budget lights though we can also recommend these and these.
E-bikes are very welcome but remember it's a 100km ride! If you carry your charger, you should be able to give the battery a quick 30min charge at the halfway point (only)!
If you are interested in some E-assistance, check out Cannon Ball Bikes based in Brighton, who are happy to rent out E-MTBs for this event.
