Break the Cycle Christmas Games
At 7pm on Friday 18 December, join Cycling UK and special guests (virtually of course) for some festive fun and games in aid of our Christmas fundraising appeal.
We’ll be going live on our social media channels with several cycling stars, where we’ll be putting them through their paces with some challenges and quizzes. Expect plenty of funny stories and laughs, prizes and giveaways, and it will all be in aid of our charitable work.
Fun and games
We'll have plenty of games and quizzes for our guests, as we pit them against each other to see which team comes out on top. You will be able to play along at home if you wish, or you can just sit back with a drink and enjoy the entertainment.
Of course, as with any competition there will be prizes to be won! All those who tune in on the night will have a chance to win some fantastic gifts and just before Christmas too.
Throughout the night we will also be highlighting some of our projects and campaigns so you can see what we have accomplished as a charity in the last 12 months.
Special guests from the world of cycling
We've got some super stars who will be joining us to pit their wits against each other. They will be bringing a wealth of knowledge of cycling, enthusiasm and practical skills for the games we have planned - and hopefully they will bring their party hats!
Hosted by Anna Glowinski, and with the fantastic Lorraine Dixon as quizmaster, we will be joined by Olympic champion Katie Archibald, sports journalist and presenter Ned Boulting, TV presenter Orla Chennaoui, cycling commentator and ex-pro Matt Stevens, TV presenter and journalist Rebecca Charlton, and more to be confirmed.
For event updates and to make sure you don't miss out, make sure you are subscribed to our Facebook and YouTube channels.
Why are we doing this?
Cycling UK’s charitable work promotes cycling, protects the interests of existing and would-be cyclists, and inspire people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to discover the benefits of cycling.
Our vision is a healthier, happier and cleaner world, because more people cycle. Our mission is to make a lasting difference to the lives of individuals and communities across the UK by championing cycling for everyone.
We can't do that without your help, as members and supporters you are part of the journey with us. This event will be linked to our upcoming Christmas fundraising appeal and we need your donations to continue this vital work and do even more to support cycling. While the event will be completely free to watch, your generosity can make such a difference to our work and enable us to do even more.
So get comfy, pour yourself a festive tipple, and join us for an evening of great entertainment.
