Members and supporters’ event: long-distance routes

Join us on Monday 14 October for an exciting preview as we unveil Cycling UK’s exciting new long-distance route!

Celebrating our new long-distance route

Calling all members and supporters to join us for a preview event as we unveil Cycling UK’s exciting new long-distance route!

Our new 300km circular loop takes you through ancient castles, historic bridges and wild forest tracks, and offers some of the most spectacular views. With almost 5,000 metres of climbing across rugged hillsides and epic ridge lines, it’s a real off-the-beaten-track journey, packed with historic sites along the way.

We are excited to be joined by two special guest speakers, Sophie Gordon and Guy Kesteven, who will share more details and give you a sneak peak.

  • Sophie Gordon, Cycling UK campaigns manager and one of the first to have ridden the route, will share her experiences cycling through beautifully preserved villages and the incredible views. Sophie will also share insights from her work on previous routes, focusing on improving off-road access and creating more inclusive, scenic paths. Her advocacy work has transformed routes into welcoming, adventure-filled journeys for all cyclists.
  • Guy Kesteven, cycling journalist and author of Cycling UK’s route guides, will offer his expert perspective on the joys and challenges of long-distance cycling. He’ll share tips for exploring this new route and inspire you to plan your next adventure.

Whether you’re a seasoned long-distance cyclist or simply curious about off-road adventures, join us for this exciting preview and take part in the live Q&A session!
