Walsall Arboretum Community Cycle Club
Cuckoos Nook and the Dingle nature reserve a brilliant fine whilst out cycling. It take you through two different habitats which has been created by different soils.
The visit shall transport you across 60 million years of geological time.
This is because the nature reserve lies over a geological fault line, where one side, coal measures lie near the surface, and on the other, limestone lies near the surface. Hence it has a direct effect on the plant life you will find above the soil. Blue bells on one side and the smell of wild garlic on the other side.
