Off-road ride (MUni) - Rothwell Country Park
Event description
Meeting at the bench at the end of Needless Inn Lane at 10:30, we'll cycle to, and around Rothwell Country Park for a few hours.
Most of the surfaces are good, even in bad weather, and can be ridden on pretty much any unicycle. Only got a 20" learner? It'll do! If you have a choice of wheel, 24-29" would be best.
We'll not be riding any particular distance or at any specific pace, rather just planning to be out for at least a few hours and tailor things to whoever turns up. The routes are somewhat circular in nature and we'll likely end up back in the same place a few times.
Remember to bring water and a packed lunch with you. It's important to stay hydrated, and there's nowhere selling food on the country park itself.
As usual this event is free, however non-members are requested to join us after two rides/events, as it is members who cover the group's fixed costs.

--- Getting there ---
If you've been to our club nights, you can aim for the venue as normal and just park on the road anywhere around there. If you're arriving by train then the meeting point is approximately 5 minutes from the station. If you're using Google, you may need to search for Needles Inn Lane - I've submitted a correction for this twice now!
--- How many wheels? ---
If you've stumbled upon this ride and you happen to ride a multi-wheeled cycle, be aware that we're primarily a group for unicyclists and you'll likely find our pace far too slow with a seemingly endless number of biscuit stops...
