Veronica Chamberlain began cycling as a child and became a Breeze Champion in 2013, leading women’s rides. Living in Harrow, she saw the introduction of cycle infrastructure post-Covid, only for it to be removed after political outcry. In a car-dominated borough, many people, especially women from global majority communities, struggle to cycle. 

In 2021, Veronica co-founded Harrow Cycle Hub with Evolve Muslim Women’s Network. With British Cycling-trained coaches, the hub now has 50 volunteers and 1 staff member, offering inclusive cycling, skills training, and bike sales. Their goal is to build a cycling centre for Harrow.
