Sahir Permall has been nominated as a community champion for her inspiring journey and commitment to empowering women and girls through cycling. As a single mother, she cycled solo from Glasgow to Istanbul, covering over 2,800 miles and 10 countries, redefining her relationship with fear and self-discovery. A recipient of the Adventure Queens Grant, Sahir now leads a charity in Glasgow - Women on Wheels - that teaches women and girls to pedal and discover the joy of cycling. Her passion for adventure and breaking barriers inspires others, particularly women and mothers, to pursue their dreams and embrace life-changing experiences through cycling.
