Megan Giglia

Paralympic champion & accessibility advocate

Megan had a brain haemorrhage in 2013 and was diagnosed with epilepsy and right-side hemiparesis during her recovery. However, she didn't let that define her. Instead, Megan focused on track cycling and went on to become a world-class Paralympic cyclist. Over her career, she was a Gold Medallist in the 2016 Paralympic Games, 3 x World Champion and 4 x World Record Holder.

Retired now, Megan works for the Bikeability Trust building the next generation of inclusive instructors to train children to ride cycles of all shapes and sizes.

"Megan is a true champion - not just as a Paralympian but as someone who constantly looks for ways to inspire others and help them achieve their best, no matter their ability or background."
