Emma Street
Academic in urban policy and local cycling champion
Not only is Emma a leading researcher in her work as associate professor of urban policy at the University of Reading, she puts her belief in cycling into practice as a committee member of Cycle Winchester, and a trustee at PEDALL, an inclusive cycling project giving people of all abilities access to the beautiful New Forest. She has also co-organised Kidical Mass rides, and leads a growing network of local bike buses.
“A fun way to get kids riding safely while we press for better infrastructure, our bike bus became part of a national conversation about cycling when we starred in the critically-acclaimed film Chasing the Sun. I truly believe cycling can make the world a better place.”
