Daisy is a self-taught bike mechanic who turned her passion into action. Within a few years, she began volunteering at a community bike project, repairing bikes and teaching maintenance skills. Now, through her business, Daisy Chain Mechanics, she’s on a mission to "get more people cycling independently," empowering riders to tackle trails and commutes with confidence. Her dedication extends to supporting the Ultra Distance Scholarship, running remote workshops to promote diversity in ultra cycling, and providing troubleshooting for riders.
“Cycling has always felt like freedom for me, ever since I was a child out exploring near our family farm. When I started venturing on longer bikepacking journeys on my own, learning how to care for my bike and fix it myself gave me so much more confidence. I love sharing that independence with others.
