Clare’s love for cycling began in 2006, when an injury ended her running days but opened the door to a whole new world. Joining an all-women’s cycling club transformed her life, fuelling her passion for endurance challenges. Clare is the first rider ever—man or woman—to complete the Chase The Sun Grand Slam, conquering all four coast-to-coast routes from sunrise to sunset across the UK, Ireland, and Italy. Clare’s determination has inspired countless others, especially women in her Kent Velo Girls club, to chase their cycling dreams. Now, she’s reliving the journey with her son, Jonny, helping him complete the Grand Slam too.
